Kablewala is a newly created e-commerce marketplace launched by Banglamark Group corporation. Based in Bangladesh, the Kablewala online marketplace allows various vendors to sell any kind of product on its platform.
The marketplace is currently doing business with sellers belonging to different sectors and building a network with leading companies like Huawei, Xiaomi, Samsung, P&G, Nestle, and so many more.
They are selling a wide range of items ranging from clothing, jewellery, health and beauty, household items and groceries to even allowing customers to buy electric bikes and automobile parts.
eCommerce Market in Bangladesh
Compared to the west, e-commerce came late into Bangladesh, yet it has now become one of the fastest-growing markets. Online commerce became possible only after the country’s central bank permitted it in 2009. Further, the usage of credit cards to shop online was allowed in 2013.
Nevertheless, due to several favourable factors such as the rise in middle-income residents, wide coverage of cellular networks and a higher number of mobile internet users. The e-commerce sector is witnessing dramatic growth right now.
Currently, there are more than 2,500 e-commerce businesses in Bangladesh and at least 50,000 business pages on Facebook.
Besides the Covid pandemic in 2020, the government also helped to boost the e-commerce sector by permitting fully foreign-owned companies to come and operate in Bangladesh. Read the detailed report by International Trade Administration.
Bangladeshi Mobile Commerce Users
Kablewala had successfully built its website on the CS-Cart e-commerce platform but was in need of a mobile app. As mobile e-commerce is quite prevalent in the country for banking and finance, ticket payments and utility bills.
So Kablewale knew in order to expand, they will have no choice but to bring the mobile commerce channel as well. Because of that, they can have more sellers listed, who can sell more quantities of items on the mobile marketplace platform.
Besides that, Kablewala also required a mobile application for their shoppers too who can easily order the products on the go without needing to visit the website.
Kablewala required a complete e-commerce mobile app development where vendors can securely log in and manage their orders, quickly edit products, view transactions, and check the dashboard.
Furthermore, since they also provided delivery services, they wanted mobile apps for the delivery staff.
